There are 5 million vending machines in Japan, 2 million of which are for beverages. I couldn't help but stop and stare every time I saw one standing on a street corner. Like robots waiting on midnight patrol, luring me with perfectly ominous glows. This series takes a second look at these beautiful sources of light and sustenance.
